What is the Impossible Novena?
By Ellie
“It all started when a dear friend prayed the ‘Impossible Novena’ for me last year. And it changed my life. To this day, I am still witnessing and experiencing miracles as a result of her specific prayer for me and my family.”
The “Impossible Novena,” also known as the “Walk of the Incarnation,” is a 9-month novena, where we journey with Our Lady throughout her entire pregnancy from the Feast of the Annunciation, March 25, to Christmas Day, December 25. It is an opportunity to ask Mary to take three of our most “impossible” requests and present them to Jesus on our behalf.
For each one of the 3 graces you desire, say the Hail Holy Queen followed by the Prayer of Petition from March 25 to December 25. Then meditate and ask for the desired grace.
***
HAIL HOLY QUEEN: Hail Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Oh clement, oh loving, oh sweet Virgin Mary, Pray for us, oh holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.
***
PRAYER OF PETITION: Virgin of the Incarnation, a thousand times we greet thee, a thousand times we praise thee for thy joy when God was incarnated in thee. Because thou art so powerful a Virgin and Mother of God, grant what we ask of thee for the love of God
(Remember: repeat the Hail Holy Queen and Prayer of Petition 3x, once for each intention)
***
After you say the above prayers three times, then say the following prayers:
***
MEMORARE: Remember, oh most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee, oh Virgin of Virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. Oh, Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.
***
FINAL PRAYER: Blessed and praised be the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar in Heaven, on Earth, and everywhere. Amen.
***
HAIL MARY: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
